Tax Team Strengthened With Two Senior Appointments as Growth Accelerates
Our tax team has been bolstered with two senior appointments to meet growing demand from our expanding national client base.
Private client specialist Neelum Ali has joined us as a senior manager from Forvis Mazars, and Kevin Martin has moved from TLP Consulting as a senior manager in the corporate tax compliance division.
Neelum spent 10 years at Forvis Mazars, where she led a healthcare private client team. Before Forvis Mazars, she worked at CLB Coopers and Royce Peeling Green, and was a tax adviser at the Inland Revenue, now HMRC.
Her role at HURST sees her oversee our personal tax compliance function and support our growing number of private client advisory projects.
Kevin was a corporate tax manager at Harrogate firm TLP Consulting, which he joined in 2014 from ClearSky Accounting, part of the Parasol Group.
He also has industry experience as a tax accountant for Sabre Europe Management Services, where he was responsible for the corporate tax compliance and tax reporting function of the lastminute.com group of companies.
Before that he was a corporate tax senior at Mazars and also worked at PwC and Royce Peeling Green. Kevin was a revenue officer at the Inland Revenue before moving into practice.
Liz Gallagher, our head of tax, said: “Demand for our newer tax service lines is accelerating, particularly in private client advisory and corporate tax compliance.
“Bringing in Neelum and Kevin as senior managers strengthens both areas and enhances our offering to a growing national client base.
“Neelum adds leadership and sector expertise from her decade at Forvis Mazars to oversee personal tax compliance, and Kevin deepens our corporate compliance team so we can scale without compromising on quality.”
