As a Tax Trainee in the Tax Advisory Team at HURST, you will be working with Partners and Managers on exciting assignments with entrepreneurial clients mainly throughout the North West; but increasingly across the UK and internationally.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has now announced the date for the annual Spending Review. Ending on the 27th October, the Review will coincide with the Autumn Budget, and is expected to detail how the government will help the country “Build Back Better” after a long period of economic recession and turbulence.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer has commissioned the OBR to prepare our next forecast for the economy and public finances for publication on Wednesday 27 October. This may be followed by a Budget shortly after.
The HURST tax advisory team is looking to recruit a manager or senior manager with strong mixed tax skillset, with a particular focus on corporation tax and transactions. The individual will work alongside the team’s existing partner and manager group to help deliver our ambitious plans for growth and team development.
James advises clients on a diverse range of tax matters and has over 20 years’ experience in advising corporates, owner managed businesses and entrepreneurs how to optimise their tax position. Day to day this can vary from advising on corporate disposals and reconstructions to employee share schemes and personal tax planning. James leads the firm’s R&D tax relief team and has helped our clients make significant tax savings by identifying opportunities for R&D tax relief claims.
Adrian has a passion for M&A and transaction-led tax work. He heads the firm's international tax structuring team, with a particular focus on helping UK businesses expand overseas. He also leads the firm's indirect tax advisory team, including our Brexit offering.
