Meet Nick

Director of Arighi Bianchi

One of the North West’s most iconic and historic brands, Arighi Bianchi is the UK’s oldest family-owned furniture business. Currently under the care of the 5th generation of the Bianchi family, the business has been a pioneer of UK retail since 1854.

We asked Nick about his experience of working with HURST. Just imagine how proud we are to share his thoughts.

“When I think of an accountant, I imagine someone you’d see maybe once or twice a year... whenever it’s time for your audit or tax returns. I suspect a lot of people have that same impression to be honest.

But it’s just not like that with HURST. In fact it couldn’t be more different. Rather than being a service provider, they’ve proved to be a true strategic partner for our business and family since we first started working together in 2018.

Arighi Bianchi Chair - HURST Client Partner

Rather than being a service provider, they’ve proved to be a true strategic partner for our business and family since we first started working together in 2018.

Nick Bianchi, Arighi Bianchi

And I suppose ‘family’ is the key word there. We were initially attracted to HURST because of their extensive experience working with family businesses like Arighi Bianchi. They understand the unique challenges we face. And they’ve got the experience we need to guide and support our future ambitions. They just get it.

I must say, the fact that they support so many other like-minded business has been a big benefit too. We feel like part of a community with their other clients, and have really valued a number of introductions to other family business that have been through similar challenges to ours.

With HURST it’s not about the services, it’s about the relationship. Although they’ve supported us with everything from audit to personal tax and corporate finance, it all feels much more personal and caring.

I know I can call them to bounce ideas off them or to share challenges... there’s a great sense of reassurance in knowing they’re with us on our journey.”

HURST in three words? Proactive. Passionate. Professional.
