No, it's not an April fools - MTD for VAT will be coming into force on 1st April 2019 and businesses need to be prepared!
Making tax digital has been on the horizon for a while and, despite all the uncertainty surrounding it, it will be coming into force (for VAT) as of 1st April 2019.
There has recently been some much-anticipated clarification around Making Tax Digital (MTD) and the aim of this seminar is to provide guidance on the steps businesses need to take ahead of the upcoming changes.
From 1 April 2019, the vast majority of businesses will be required to keep digital VAT records which will need to be submitted using a making tax digital compatible software, as HMRC will be closing their online portal.
The HURST experts will outline the different software options available and will explain how the use of this technology will make tax less taxing!
We will also be joined by Rob McCann of the VAT people who will be giving a technical overview of MTD.
