HURST TO SPONSOR BUSINESS LECTURES IN THE NORTH WEST

February, 2007

North West accountants and business advisors HURST have agreed to sponsor a series of lectures to be given by leading figures from the world of business throughout 2007.

Organised by Business Partnership, the lectures will be attended by business leaders, managers and entrepreneurs from across the region. Lancashire's very own “Queen of Puddings”, entrepreneur Helen Colley, tantalised the taste buds of local business leaders as she opened the Business Partnership lecture series at the Bolton Ramada Hotel recently.

Helen, a multi-award winner, managing director and founder of successful premium puddings and dessert company Farmhouse Fare, started the company 20 years ago from her parents' farmhouse in Gisburn, Lancashire and since then has developed it into an award- winning supplier to supermarket giants such as Asda, Booths and Waitrose.

Said HURST managing partner Tim Potter: “This is the second year we have been joint sponsors of the Business Partnership lectures. They provide a valuable opportunity for business managers and entrepreneurs in the region to hear, experience and be part of the sharing of best business practice methods. The programme this year promises to be every bit as useful and relevant as last year’s if not more so.”

The lecture series is jointly sponsored by HURST, Bridge Insurance Brokers Limited and the NWDA. The events are free and aim to offer business leaders, managers and entrepreneurs from across the North West an insight in to what makes leading business figures tick.
