Companies in Stockport can now look forward to a significant boost to their business, thanks to a group of heavyweight business professionals in the town.
Accountants, lawyers, marketeers and financial experts have created a business blog which is giving free advice to the town’s entrepreneurs and company owners.
The blog, at http://stockportbusiness.blogspot.com, was created by Stockport accountants and business advisors HURST. They have been joined by Gorvins Solicitors, Promedia Advertising, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Cullen Financial Planning. Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council has also given its support to the blog.
Experts from the partners will contribute regular “how to” articles to the blog. It will be a source of constant advice on finance, legal, employment, marketing, HR and personal wealth issues.
Said HURST director of marketing Simon Brownbill: “The blog is designed to help all businesses with an SK postcode to succeed by giving them relevant, timely and advice. Stockport is a great place to work. By creating this networked community of businesses and advisors we should significantly improve business standards in the town and help Stockport companies to prosper and grow.”
As well as the advisory articles, visitors to the blog will be able to put their own questions to the professionals. The blog will also feature local business news to keep companies up to date on issues affecting business in the town.
Visitors to the blog can also take part in polls on hot business topics. Currently the blog is polling business people’s views on the proposed Manchester traffic congestion charge.
