HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS LOWER ADVISORY FUEL RATES

February 2007

From the 1st February 2007 HM Revenue and Customs have lowered their advisory fuel
rates.

These are the rates at which businesses can reimburse employees for business travel in company cars or the rate at which employees can repay their employer for the cost of fuel used for private mileage.  

The new lower rates (old rates in brackets) are:

Up to 1400cc                             9p (11p)            9p (10p)            6p (7p)
 
1400 – 2000cc                           11p (13p)           9p (10p)            7p (8p)
 
Over 2000cc                              16p (18p)           12p (14p)           10p (11p)
