Barratt spearheads HURST's move into Manchester November 2007
North west corporate finance heavyweight Nigel Barratt has been appointed by HURST Accountants to head up its expanding corporate finance (CF) team and launch a new office in Manchester city centre.
Barratt has held senior CF positions with Big Four and national accountants in the north west, was owner of CF advisory firm LBC Corporate Finance and has been a high profile CF independent in the region for the past five years.
The four-strong HURST CF team will move into offices in the financial and professional district of the city early in 2008. It will also continue to offer CF services from Stockport
Said Barratt: “HURST is an ambitious firm with talented and motivated people that is really moving forward. It has a tremendous reputation for successfully helping owner-managed business to prosper and grow, which mirrors the type of work I have carried out for the past twenty years”.
“As well as leading the CF team and helping HURST realise its goal to become a major player in the corporate transactions sector, I relish the challenge of making a real contribution to the firm’s overall growth and development.”
Barratt, along with corporate finance professionals Nigel Moss, Jordan Cooper and Sabin Islam, will be supported by HURST’s six-strong transactions tax team when they move into their Manchester office.
